Chromatherapy

2015

“Chromatherapy” – Ceramic Tile, Glass, 10” x 21”

Designed and created by Rochelle Rose-Schueler of Wild Rose Artworks

Chromatherapy is defined as a treatment that uses the effect of color to bring about physical and other changes. A scientifically proven technique, chromatherapy is not merely a decorative element. Rather it has a direct effect on one's physical and psychological condition.

This piece was a study of using color as the design element. To add variety and interest to the one color background , I used various mosaic laying patterns to create the feeling that the lights were twinkling and blinkling.  I added color sparingly to give the piece a feel of an industrial night version of lights of a city.
