“Blue Brick Vase” – Glass on Glass mosaic, 4” x 9”

I was studying color theory and mosaic laying patterns in this series of glass-on-glass mosaic vases.  The color blue is most commonly associated with harmony, faithfulness, confidence, imagination, expansiveness, and stability. I used various pieces of blue and purple glass with a modern laying pattern to radiate calming patterns on the surrounding walls from the light of the candles.
